WHITEHORSE – As a result of recent amendments to the Elections Act, the Chief Electoral Officer is required by that Act to consult a number of persons, including Yukon’s Information and Privacy Commissioner, before making her decision about the kinds of identification that electors should be able to use for the purposes of the Elections Act.

The Information and Privacy Commissioner (IPC) recently provided her comments to the Chief Electoral Officer.  These comments can be found here.
