WHITEHORSE – The Information and Privacy Commissioner (IPC) released the following statement today after the Yukon Government announced that the Health Information Privacy and Management Act and regulations became law in Yukon on August 31, 2016.

On August 31, 2016, the Health Information Privacy and Management Act (HIPMA) and regulations were brought into force in Yukon.  I encourage those who are subject to HIPMA and Yukoners whose privacy is protected by it to take a few moments to learn about HIPMA’s key features.

See the IPC's Key Features of HIPMA for Custodians and Yukoners document for more details.
