Four independent offices of the Legislative Assembly are petitioning the court to maintain their budgetary independence from government and protect the rights of Yukoners.

Jason Pedlar was sworn in to the position during a ceremony at the Yukon Legislative Assembly for a five-year term.

Jason Pedlar is being recommended to the Yukon Legislative Assembly for appointment as the Yukon's new Ombudsman, Information and Privacy Commissioner, and Public Interest Disclosure Commissioner.
